News channel: Breaking news all the time......

365 x 7 x 24, it is breaking news in Indian news channels. It does not matter whether it is early morning or mid night, there is aways a flashing text in news channels.

Gone are those days where we must turn our attention to the breaking news.

Why is this trend? Is it because of

1. westernization of media
2. maturing democracy
   
3. media tasking advantage of restless people
4. spreading of satellite channels across India

But it all results in people glued to the television. When is going to be a too much of breaking news, we people need to be more educated to selectively tune to the correct news channel :)
